Jennifer Johnson currently serves as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer of Rosehill Resources, Inc., a publicly traded oil and gas exploration company with assets in the Permian Basin. Ms. Johnson is a member of Rosehill’s senior management team and works directly with the Board and executives of the Company on business strategy and all aspects of the Company’s legal and compliance needs, including governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, employee and benefits matters, finance, oil and gas matters, insurance, and litigation and risk management.
Prior to joining Rosehill, Ms. Johnson served as Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Noble Energy, Inc. and Corporate Secretary of Noble Midstream Partners, LP. In her roles at Noble, she managed finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities laws matters, political law matters, and corporate governance. Ms. Johnson began her legal career in private practice in the Houston office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where she represented a variety of clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance matters. She also worked in the Houston office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP on transactional and securities law compliance matters.
Ms. Johnson graduated with High Honors from The University of Texas School of Law and was a member of the Texas Law Review. Following law school, she clerked for Judge David McKeague on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center prior to law school. She is the mother of four children (two sets of twins), and outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing hot yoga, and visiting her family’s home in the Southern Rocky Mountains of New Mexico.
