Andrea McHenry

Associate General Counsel, Governmental Affairs at Insperity, Inc.

Andrea McHenry is the Associate General Counsel, Governmental Affairs for Insperity, Inc. based in Kingwood, Texas. In her role at Insperity, she is responsible for advising the company on government affairs matters and management of the company’s legal compliance group. She routinely works with federal and state officials across the country on legislation and regulations impacting company operations.

Previously, she was Senior Counsel for Legal and Regulatory Affairs for ADP Integrated Medical Solutions in Rockville, Maryland, and a Legislative Aide to U.S. Congressman, Elijah E. Cummings, D-MD, while he was a Delegate in the Maryland General Assembly. Andrea has over 30 years experience in the Government Affairs arena on the state and federal level.

In 2015, she received the Chairman’s Excellence Award and has received several Outstanding Achievement Awards in her career at Insperity. A leader among her industry peers, she previously served on the Board of Directors of the Texas chapter of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) prior to their restructuring and continues to serve on various committees and Leadership Councils within the Association.

She is a dedicated volunteer and community advocate, having served on the United Way Community Investment Committee for over 10 years. A strong believer in voter education and civic engagement, she organized and conducted numerous voter registration drives and spearheaded legislative advocacy campaigns throughout the state of Texas and on Capitol Hill on issues impacting our youth. She is a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., a community service and philanthropic organization for children and teens and serves in leadership roles on the Regional and National level. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

A native of New Orleans, LA, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Newcomb College and a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, LA. She is a member of the Texas State Bar, Maryland Bar and the Federal Bar of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
