Eleanor Brewer has over 12 years of experience in corporate law and regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, real estate and trade finance, tax structuring, private securities offerings and M&A matters across the U.S., Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Asia with industry knowledge in security and defense, technology, private equity and real estate.
After receiving her JD from Wayne State University Law School, Eleanor was admitted into the Michigan and Texas Bars. Her early legal career was in Michigan as a counsel at Ford Motor Company. She then went on to work for EY in international tax and regulatory advisory services before taking her first General Counsel role with a Dubai based investment group. After her international work experience, she returned to the United States with her family and settled in Texas, where she took on a General Counsel role with U.S. Freedom Capital.
In her current role, she heads the legal and compliance functions for the investment group which offers real estate, healthcare and other investments to global investors wishing to make investments into the United States. The company operates worldwide from offices in Dallas, Dubai, Bombay, São Paulo, Shanghai, and Washington DC. Eleanor provides both prudent legal advice and domestic and international commercial savvy to advance the interests of U.S. Freedom Capital. She believes the key to her success is understanding the businesses of the organizations she serves, being in tune with the business goals when calibrating risk mitigation and actively managing and leveraging resources and technology to optimize the legal function.
