Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer & General Counsel at TDECU
Isaac Johnson serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel at TDECU – Your Credit Union. He leads TDECU’s legal, enterprise risk management, internal audit, security & investigations and loan resolution departments.
Isaac has over 23 years of combined legal and financial services experience and has worked for some of Houston’s largest banks and law firms including Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Winstead PC and Thompson & Knight, LLP. Additionally, he proudly serves in the United States Army Reserves as a Colonel and Chief of Staff of the 350th Civil Affairs Command in Naval Air Station Pensacola. He has several combat tours and other deployments in support of foreign humanitarian disaster relief.
In his role as TDECU Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel, he advises the credit union’s executive team and Board of Directors on all legal and risk management matters. He develops and executes strategic plans that protects the credit union and brings value to its Members.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Jackson State University, and Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law as well as a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
